Baby Birth Announcement Cards
Personalised footprint cards letterpress printed on handmade paper. A beautiful and unique keepsake to give to friends and family to mark the birth of a baby.
LEAD TIMES
Lead times will vary between 2-10 weeks depending on whether the paper colour you want is in stock in the quantities you require. Feel free to get in touch before placing your order to find out what is in stock and what my current lead times are. I also aim to keep an up-to-date notice of current lead times via the banner at the top of my website.
HOW IT WORKS:
STEP 1
Select the correct number of prints and click add to cart. A form will pop up for you to fill in your custom details and requirements.
STEP 2
Once you have made the purchase I will contact you via email to request the photo of the footprint.
You will need to create a print of your baby's foot and take a photo of the print. Use bright natural light and make sure that the footprint is crisp and clear (the final photo in the gallery is a good example of a usable footprint image). Don’t forget to take a measurement of the footprint in millimetres from big toe to heel. I will need this to create a ‘true to size’ footprint.
STEP 3
Once your design is ready I will send you a pdf. of the design so that you can check all details are correct before going ahead with printing. You have ONE round of edits. Any further edits requested may require an additional design fee.
STEP 4
After you have approved the proof I will send your design to the platemakers and schedule your print run in the production schedule.
COLOURS
There are 12 paper colours in the core paper collection. You can see the selection from the colour fan in the photos. When choosing an ink colour please be aware that letterpress inks are transparent and so not all colour combinations will work well. Pale inks on darker papers do not work well and neither do colours which are drastically different eg. pink ink on green paper will look more like brown ink. If you are unsure, feel free to contact me with your ideas before making a purchase and we can discuss colour compatibility.
